Friendship star
Here is a quilt that is simple in construction, and has a very pleasing look.
To make each square, you will need a center block of your main color cut at 4.5″. Your remaining pieces for the block will be cut at 4 7/8″. You will need two of your main color, two of your secondary color, and four of your background color.
To make the 1/2 square blocks you put a background and a color right sides together, draw a diagonal line across the middle, then sew 1/4″ away from that line on both sides. Finally, you cut the drawn line and press. Each block needs nine pieces. This is a great pattern for scraps.
