Seeing stars
This quilt made from scraps will make the perfect “drag around” blanket for some little boy.
The Recipe for the stars is simple. You need one center square at 4 1/2″, four background rectangles measuring 4 1/2″ X 3 1/2″, four background squares at 3 1/2″ X 3 1/2″, and eight star points measuring 2 1/2″ square.
Working the background rectangles, lay the 2 1/2″ square at one corner and stitch from point to point as in the picture. Then trim off excess and repeat at the other side.
Sew together and trim to 10″ square. The beauty of this star is that you can not blunt off the points.
