Here is another way to use up those scraps. This block features 4 – 41/2″ squares surrounded by 20 - 1 1/2″ half-squares triangles. The four blocks are then set together with sashing to make 169 pieces in each 13 1/2″ finished block. I am hoping to get 42 out of my 1 1/2″ half-square scrap box. I wonder if I will come up short.
